Outside Sales and Development Executive

WallGoldfinger Furniture, a division of Mark Richey Woodworking, is seeking an experienced Outside Sales and Development Executive to join our team in our Newburyport, Mass., location and work on the most prestigious and challenging corporate furniture projects in the industry. The ideal candidate is an individual who has the love of the craft combined with the technical knowledge and experience. As an Outside Sales and Development Executive you will secure furniture sales of projects to meet annual sales and outreach goals. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct, in-person sales visits to clients (architects, dealers, and other potential specifiers)

  • Maintain a roster of established clients for continued outreach, solicitation, and stewardship

  • Research new potential clients and markets for new business development

  • Sales outreach to prospective clients for discovery and cultivation

  • Create and execute structured multimedia presentations – with assistance from the Marketing Team - to groups of clients, both in-person and virtual

  • Research potential projects to identify key specifiers for solicitation

  • Work with Internal Sales and Estimating Team on creating proposals for projects

  • Work with the Senior Illustrator to create renderings and other sales materials for projects

  • Submit proposals and follow up with clients through the sale

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in direct sales

  • Demonstrated understanding of the manufacture and installation of corporate furniture

  • Minimum of two years of experience in the corporate furniture and/or millwork business, whether in sales, estimating, project management, engineering, or manufacturing

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of clients and colleagues, both internally and externally

  • Willingness and ability to travel regionally and nationally

  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Teams, and Excel

  • Experience working in a CRM (Customer Relations Management) system
